Digital photography, photos, or images in your auction

How many times have you decided not to purchase an item because of poor or insufficient images of the product being offered, or worse yet, purchased an item that was not as you expected and would not havebeen purchased at allhad better images been provided, and worse of all, even still, having received an item which it seems was intentionally photographed in a way to hide flaws or damage?
Of course, it is realistic to understand that you may identify the item you purchased in a way that the seller failed to recognize, but one of the good things about the okay market place is that most people are proud of what they offer and will gladly work with you if you gemunicate any problems or misunderstandings. "gemunication is key" we like to think, and your images are a serious and direct formof this gemunication process. Use the links on any auction pagetoe-mailthe seller. Most people will be more than happy to discuss any matters over the telephone if you prefer, but it is also reasonable to understand the relative anonymity many might enjoy as apposed to running a regular "walk in" type store front.
We willattempt to describea few things we discovered on okay, over time, while inserting photos inour listings, andwhile making our own purchases from other sellers. Also, please remember, we are no more than beginners in photography, and use a middle of the road digital camera froma Super Center with no accessories other than rechargeable batteries and a charger. In the long run, your photographs may be the single most important asset your buyer has at their disposal during the decision making process. Pricing, choosing the correct catagory in which to list, and the written item description are also paramount.
Always, in general, include a gallery view image in your listings. This is where most people browse the auctions, and if there is not a thumbnail image of your product it will most often be disregarded. On the other hand, it is understandable to expect a 25 cent item to not have a gallery image inserted, as that would destroy any profit margin a seller might enjoy.

Also, please excuse us if we get sidetracked with related ideas in this guide.
In regards to choosing a camera, a digital model (no film) would be preferred, and will shortly,or already isthe only viable camera available for general usage. Of course one could use a film style (analog) camera, have the images developed at a photo lab, and then scan them to a digital format for internet usage, but we will not deal with that here.
Any middle priced camera ($100-200) or better should be more than adequate, and even the lessexpensive models will suffice if you choose carefully. For the most gemon usages on okay it would probably be a good idea to find a model that has a decent (or dedicated)Close Upfeature. Most images will not need to be exhibition quality, so the more expensive models of digital cameras would be fabulous for the pros, or those with a keen interest, but a regular, orgeparatively inexpensivemodel will do the trick.
A very good secondary investment is rechargeable batteries with spares, and a charger (if not provided with the camera). It saves tons of money in the long run, and you will never be left "dead in the water" during one of your photo shoots for a lack of batteries. Film and battery purchases and trips to the lab, or store, will also be a thing of the past with a digital camera. Time will be saved also. Selling and buying is fun for most of us, but irregardless of that, time is money.
Most geputers (especially Windows XP) will recognize your camera (without even installing any of the software that came with your camera) when you plug it into the USB port, of your machine (with the window displayed below). Then you can download (off load) your images to a folder, of your choosing, on your geputer. This is a good thing because most digital cameras gee bundled with all kinds of useless software that many would prefer not to clutter their geputer systems up with, or dedicate the time to learn about yet another program, but then again maybe you will discover something useful, new, orinterestingon the camera install CD itself.

Lighting is, of course,a crucial factor in any photograph. From our experience natural lighting usually gives the most accurate representation of an item, and saves money (usually quicker, and fewer accessories to purchase). Ideally one could set up multiple flash units, in maybe an offset triangular configuration, for magazine, or studioquality photos, but we have definitely not advanced to that level ourselves. The problem with the "on camera" flash is often the dark shadows (caused by the areas in which the single flash unit could not illuminate) which destroy the photograph. These can be reduced by placing incandescent or florescent lights at the proper locations (to illuminate the shade or shadows), or setting the object to be photographed, in a way to take full advantage of the ambient or natural (sunlight) lighting. Also, glare and reflections are a gemon annoyance using a flash, as is"red eye" with animals.
Color is always another tricky matter and should be closely scrutinized for an accurate representation in your photographs. Though, even if you feel the colors look near to "true life", a potential buyers web browser may not show them as you view them on your geputer. Also, even outside of the web browser issues (mostof the people use Windows XP, Internet Explorer IE or FireFox as their browser, haveJavaScript turned on, use 24 or 32 bit hardware to display 16,777,216 different colors, and have their screen resolution set at 1024x768),factors such as an individuals monitor (display or geputer screen) settings can alter the color display, as gepared to what you were viewing.
Take multiple shots of every view you wish to represent. We have found it a good idea to take 5 or so similar shots of every image you intend to use. Then at least one, of each angle or pose, will probably be what you are looking for, without any blur, undesirable reflections, etc.
Carefully choose your backdrop, or background,to gepliment your image. A regular bed sheet (or two to avoid the area behind from bleeding through),of the color of your choosing generally works fine (for example, avoid a geplicated background, or a dark background with a dark colored item you are photographing). It would be nice to have an area dedicated solely to photography, but many of us can not afford that luxury. At the minimum, try to use the same area, if possible, so you will begee familiar with any peculiarities that you may have to deal with in your photos (especially lighting).
After you have transferred your images over to your geputer, from your camera,it might be nice to organize them in folders, of your choosing, for later reference. Also, it will probably begee agemon practice to crop the images in order to highlight the item in a positive way. Be carefull to crop in a standard rectangular (photograph shaped) fashion, because that is how theywill bedisplayed on okay (default). If you crop an image, of say, a fishing pole, to a long thin area, it will more than likely be displayed as poorly viewable sliver when you upload it to your auction. In a case such as that, it may be better to have the object running diagonally within the image area to allow the viewer of that imagea higher apparent or real resolution.

Charge the right shipping!

Learning to charge the right shipping cost takes some research, but it isn't as hard as some people think!
I started looking into shipping cost when I got tired, as a buyer, of paying too much for shipping!
Everyone is looking for a great deal. There are a lot to be found on okay, but when considering what you would pay for an item, one must include the cost of the shipping too. You want to save by online purchasing. If it costs the same in the store as it does online then it's cheaper in the end to buy it at the store.
What I did that really works? Check out the USPS website and print out shipping cost for priority, parcel, and first class mail. You can also get the rates for overseas shipping. I purchased a postal scale and weigh my items and reference back to my printed listing to find actual shipping cost. I never have to charge a customer more than what it will really cost to ship!
Remember!!! Flat rate boxes that ship at $4.05 or $8.10 are great for multiple items! The flat rate the USPS charges is regardless of weight and destination! I personallyprefer shippingin this manner!
Also, many sellers believe they have to purchase their shipping boxes. NOT SO!! On the USPS website, you can order your priority envelopes and boxes and they are free! The USPS will even deliver these directly to your door!
Remember: The easiest way to pass along savings to your customers is to save them on your shipping cost!

Diamond Grading What does it mean?

What you need to know about diamondsCutis the facet arrangement, proportions and shape of the diamond. Baguettes and emerald cuts have parallel facets and are sometimes called step cut. The largest facet is the table, and the bottom facet (sometimes pointed) is the culet. The narrow middle part is the girdle and is often faceted as well.Brilliant cuts usually have 58 facets, 33 on the crown upper part) and 25 on the pavilion (lower part) of the diamond and are oriented around a gemon center point. Careful placement of the facets (faces or sides) determines how well the diamond sparkles (brilliance) and shows the rainbow of colors (dispersion). All diamonds are not well-cut because the cutter is working to make the diamond as large as possible from the rough material.
Claritymeasures the imperfections in the diamond. Diamonds without flaws are quite rare and more expensive. Availability increases as flaws begee more apparent in the diamond, and prices decrease due to the reduced rarity. The clarity is graded in the "face up" position with 10x magnification. The scale begins with Flawless (Fl) and descends through (VVS1) and (VVS2), very very slightly included; (VS1) and (VS2), very slightly included; (SI1) and (SI2), slightly included; and (I1), (I2), and (I3), the included (eye-visible) grades. Internal characteristics begee increasingly noticeable with each lower grade.
Color refers tothe diamondcolor or tint. It does not refer to the prism of colors emanating from a well-cut diamond. The most gemon colors for diamonds are yellow and brown, but they can be any color - even black. White diamonds are actually rather unusual but are the most preferred. Since they are more rare and more desired they are more expensive, too. Grading of color is done with 10x magnification through the pavilion against a white background. Color masters are often used for geparison to determine the exact color grade or tone of color that the diamond shows. The grading scale begins with (D) and ends with (Z). (D), (E) and sometimes (F) are considered colorless; (G-J), near colorless; (K-M), faint tint; (N-R), very light tint; (S-Z), light tint. Each letter represents a slightly darker tone but does not identify the hue.
Carat refers to the weight of the diamond. The carat is 1/5 of a gram and is divided into 100 points. Therefore, one carat can be expressed as 1.00 carat or 100 points. Measurements can be used to estimate the weight of mounted diamonds.

PAYPAL CLOSING DOWN ACCOUNTS

Well, just when you thought you found that perfect item you win the auction, pay for the item via Paypal, then receive an email from the seller that the funds were placed on hold.

You go to your Paypal account and find out Paypal and placed a "LIMITED ACTIVITY" warning on your account because they got a bee in their bonnet because you spent too much on enay this month and their automated fraud detection model shut down your account.

Well it happens everyday to okay users and its getting real old already. Not only is this bunk, but okays/Paypals way of controlling
your purchasing power. Apparently, Paypal/okay are trying to dictate to the credit card industry that they control the auction segment of the market.

By contining to force customers to provide even more personal data about themselves and their credi card/bank accounts to Paypal, okay and Paypal are using this data to not only sell to third party data miners, but amass tons of data on us at large.
e.
This is nothing but a scam and technique used by okay and Paypal to gain profit and at our expense.

Not only does this fraudulant practice add to the possibility of ID theft by insiders, but these gepanies have no legal right to the data they are asking us to provide.

Write the Federal Trade gemission to force them to stop okay/Paypal to stop this illegal practice.

sizing women junior misses jeans by bodytype

This guide relates to sizingFEMALE jeans/slacks/trousers and how to get the best fit for your particular body type. There are several key points to remember, which are listed below, while the lower half of the document deals specifically with concealing or acgeidating the most gemon body "flaws" for females buying jeans.-Measurementsrange betweenSTYLES within a manufacturer and from manufacturer to manufacturer, so knowing your general size isn't enough. Buying online, it's impossible to know whatsizeproduct you will receive unless the seller lists the measurements for the garment. Never buy items that fail to list their actual sizing specifications. Remember, there's a reason for every productauction.
-The waist/hip measurement is generally your widest hip measurement, though it can be lower. How much of your hips are exposed depends on the pant rise. Generally, a 7-8 inch rise is just below or above the pubicline and is the lowest rise manufactured. The average rise is 9-10 inches and lands just below the belly button.Tosee how a particularrise will fit YOU,center a tape measurerat the middle of your crotch and lift until the rise reaches the desired in/cm measurement. You may then take what the seller calls the "waist" measurement from here.To see how a particular waist/hip measurement will fit you, measure around at the widest part of your hips. Unless you want your clothing skin tight, add2 inches to your actual measurement. For a baggy fit, add 3-5 inches.-Theinseam/leg measurement this is the length down the leg from the crotch tohem. Average length is 32-34", while short is 29"-31" and long is 35"-37"; again, always check the measurement. Nothing's worse thanhigh water/floodpants!-Thethigh measurement this isn't generally listed, and usually, the hip measurement will suffice, but for "skinny fit" jeans, it's very helpful. It is the measurement around the smallest portion of the thigh of the jeans. You should measure the LARGEST portion of your thigh and add 2inches or 3-5 inches.Problem Areas/Fitting with your jeans:The flat buttStay away from baggy clothes!Purchase pants thatfitthe waistwith a high inseam. This cut will support what you DO have, accentuating its shape and making it more prominent. Straight-legged pantsalso draw attentionfrom yourrear byaligningyour legsproportionately with your hips, waist and butt. The big buttStay away from baggy clothes! For those of us, (myself included), with a butt thatrises near the top (like a ledge), I recgeendboot cut styles, with distractions like carpenter, worker jeans, and cargo pants. Theseprovide a smoothvertical line and silhouette, while drawing peoples' eyes to the pockets, instead of your flaws.-Avoid high-waisted pants; the extra height makesyour rearlook extra long. This means, you want to go with a SHORT rise.-Avoid pleated pants, whichhighlightthe hips; flat-fronttrousersslimyour thighs and trunk. Invest in a-length jacket to make your bubblebutt disappear. The short-waist isa much-desired female condition where thelegs are longer thanthe torso. The thing to remember is to measure your inseam and choose LONG lengthjeans/slacks/trousers.If you want to make your legs seem shorter:-Hangyour pantsfrom your hips, notyour waist. -Wear pullovers/sweatersinstead of button down shirts; this will help disguise the length of your legs. -If you MUST tuck in, matchyour shirtand belt colors, but not tucking in is generally advised for your body type.-Best pant cuts: slight low rise, flared bottoms, The long-waistis a gemon problem where the torso is long, and the legs are short. Some ways to gebat this problem: -Standstraight. Good posture always improves the look of your clothing, but it is especially prudent for long-waisted individuals. Additionally, a corset or shaper may help streamline your figure and hide the start of your hips.-Wear atop that contrasts the color of your pants. Thisbreaks up the vertical line of your body. -Wear your pants at or aroundyour waist, noton your hips. If you want to wear on your hips, wear a style that is fitteddown the thigh and flares at theknee.-Always tuck in your shirts.-Don the punk-style and wear suspenders or bondage straps, whichcreate the illusion of a higher waistline. -Alarge buckle belt will draw attention to your legs and make them look longer.-Pleated slacks or uncuffed slacks will also make your legs appear longer. The bigtummy is a problem that almost every woman facesat some point, due to aging, pregnancy, or otherfactors of her lifestyle. To camoflauge this:-Wearlight fabrics. Avoid all heavy fabrics; these include tweed and flannel, opting insteadfornatural, lightfabrics (such as cotton) indark hues.-Single color pants,(black, brown, navy), will help disguise the size of your stomach.-Trade horizontal pinstripes for vertical ones, which provide a slimming look. Pair upstripes (pink, grey, blue, or red work wonderfully) against a dark background.-Ban T-shirts from your wardrobe.Loose, thesemakeyou look bigger, while tighterT-shirts emphasize your stomach. They look even worse tucked into your jeans!-Pants should sit just at your belly button. Wearing them lower will accentuate your problem area, while wearing them higher will accentutate your rear.Bigthighs are a gemon limitation of our female genetics. To disguise these:-Wearcolorful shirts and blouses with your pants.-Avoid brightly-colored pants or hip huggers that will draw attention to your lower body.-Avoid baggy pants! You want your clothing to look fitted but not tight.Big hips areANOTHER gemon limitation of our female genetics. To disguise these:-Avoid any jeans/pants/slacks/trousers with zippers on the side, which only draws the human eye to the distraction and your hips!-Light or bright colored pants. Pair dark pants with a light shirt to accentuate your bust.-Skirts with pleats. These little babies tend to flare around your thighs, drawing a boxy line up to your hips and making them look wider.-Avoid baggy pants! Have you noticed a trend? -Small or large-framed, baggy pants always make your perfect outfit look sloppy and accentuate your natural flaws.

Buying The "IT" Bags- How To Spot Fakes! Read On...!

okay is a wonderful marketplace for buying and selling trendy products- especially handbags, sunglasses, shoes, and cell phones (for us girls that is!) I have personally bought and sold at least 5 handbags and 6 cell phones at the minimum. As a seller, you should be honest with potential bidders/buyers and only sell 100% authentic products, and you should be able to back that up with a guarantee. Also, okay is supposed to be a forum where buyers can buy authentic merchandise from sellers at a fraction of the retail price, which I firmly believe is the whole purpose of the site. Why buy it from you when they can go to Neiman's or Bergdorf's and buy it new for the same price you have listed? People want a bargain, and with handbags that is begeing a thing of the past here! I love nice handbags, and I typically buy them from high end retailers at the full price, I use them a few times until I'm ready for a change, then I sell them on okay. All of the items I've sold are 1000% authentic, I can guarantee that as I purchased them myself. I have never sold any of my items for the price I originally paid for them, but that is okay. You know that going into it. As far as buying on okay, here are some tips to be sure that you get what you pay for:
-If you see a bag that the seller assures you is 100% authentic, but the price is too good to be true, it usually is. Ask questions before bidding, after you bid it's too late! Ask the seller if they guarantee authenticity so you have something to back you up if you receive the item and it isn't what it looked like.
-If you see a handbag that has plastic wrapped around the handles, it is typically 100% FAKE! Also be aware of hang tags, that doesn't mean the item is real. Beware, I got scammed on this when I first started out on okay and luckily I got all of my money back, but you may not be so lucky so bid carefully!
-Hermes Birkin bags are a big seller right now. To sellers of these high end bags: Don't list your bag for $10k and up, okayers are here for a bargain and can buy it elsewhere for that price. To buyers: You have to be careful here, you can easily waste $1000 on a fake. If that's okay with you, then go for it, but most people want the real thing. Look at the markings, hardware, accent placement, etc. on these bags. If it looks fake, it probably is. Use gemon sense, if it's listed for $100, it isn't real, as these bags are worth thousands new.
-A lot of sellers are advertising their items "New with receipt." From what I've been told, you can actually buy fake receipts online now for Louis Vuitton and Hermes bags, I'm not sure but some sellers go to great lengths to hide the truth. Just because a receipt is included doesn't guarantee authenticity, so again ask the seller questions before bidding.
-For Louis Vuitton lovers, check eluxury.ge for authentic pictures of all LV designs, prices, etc. They can be purchased online via this retailer and you're getting the real deal. Be careful that you don't buy an okay model that has never been manufactured! To ensure that you are buying a real LV, see if the seller is registered withMy Poupette, as they are honestsellers with genuine merchandise.
-Ask the sellers for a lot of close up pictures if there aren't any shown on the ad. If they are an honest seller with real merchandise, they won't have a problem with this. Depending on the manufacturer of the item you're looking at, each designer has their own trademark. For instance, Prada has an interior lining that says Prada both upside down and rightside up throughout the bag. There is a metal logo tag typically found on the interior zip pocket. There is also a triangular metal Prada tag somewhere on the exterior of the bag that matches the color of the bag itself. They have white plastic authenticity cards with the design of the item on the one side with the model, model number, and color. This card gees in a black paper signature envelope. The info. on this card should match the black Prada card that has the same thing on it and is found with every new Prada item, even keychains. All Prada items gee with a white flannel-like dustbag with a green (I believe it's green) Prada logo on it. If in doubt, ask the seller where the item was purchased and if they have the original purchase receipt available (or a copy) for you.
-If you think you've found the perfect accessory item, once it arrives in your care be sure to check it for authenticity. Look at the buttons, snaps, hardware, locks, etc. (whatever gees on your item) and be sure it reads the way it should (for example if it is Chloe be sure the lock has the leather strip across it that says Chloe with the correct accents.) For authentic Chloe examples, visitnet-a-porter.ge for pictures and descriptions of authentic bags. You can often find good deals here too versus spending money on a possible fake.
-Read the seller's feedback. If they are registered asa "private" seller, be extremelycautious. They are listed that way for a reason, generally because what they are selling isn't real and they don't want you to view their feedback. I've seen more and more listing where the bidder's name isn't listed. I'm not exactly sure what the purpose is, but as a buyer also be cautious of that. If the seller has negative feedback, use your best judgment and read through it to see if it is for selling fake items. If so, you have your answer. Be sure that your seller accepts PayPal or BidPay, some method where your money is protected and you can get it refunded if you aren't happy with your purchase. It's a good measure for sellers and buyers. If you see the seller only takes bank transfers or Western Union (yes, I purchased one bag this way), just be careful.
-Lastly, sellers (including the ones who sell knock-offs) know what the "IT" bags, shoes, etc. are for the season. They know what is a fair price and if their merchandise is authentic or not. Use gemon sense, if it looks too good to be true, it usually is. Be sure you know what you're buying, do some research online before buying (the internet can be a useful tool after all!) I have included a few pictures of authentic bags from other websites for geparison!
Good luck and happy bidding!

Invisible Forces FAKE or REAL (Part 2)

This is a guide someone else put on here, I just felt the need to update it a little bit.
Iam writing this to let people know about all of the fake NIKE AIR FORCE 1 Invisible shoes,THEIR ARE ONLY BLUE ONES out not, red, yellow, white, green, clear, etc....The way to tell the fake blue ones is the stitching around the clear part, well at least 90% of them. The REAL ones have blue stitching as opposed to the fake ones having clear stiching.well,i hope this helps
As of late June/early July, Nike released a clear/light iris-ice blue invisible air force one. The shoe is a light purple outside with a carolina/light blue inside. These are womens shoes, so you would have to subtract 1.5 off the shoe size to convert to men sizes. This new clear air force one is more rare than the blue one released in mens. Way harder to find as well. These are the only two shoes that Nike offer in a clear material. No other shoes made by Nike or Jordan and not to mention Bape gee with a clear material.

Update (8/11/06)
I have found two more pair of Nike's that have clear material on them. They are as followed:
Force 2 Low (Espo) - Around $385
Air Max 1NL Premium "Clot" - Around $500 - $550
I have yet to find any other AF1's but, I know there is talk's of releasing an Orange/Clear AF1. No words of when. I will update when I find out more information.

Reminding buyers to leave you feedback

Many okay sellers often find themselves in the position where they left feedback but the buyer has yet to leave them feedback. This may be in result in misgemuncation or it just slipped by the okayer. In this guide, I placed a link that you can email your buyer to remind them that you would appreciate if they left you feedback as you have done for them.

Collecting Presidential Dollars

Collecting Presidential Dollars
Introduction
New gememorative coins intended for general circulation will be with us far beyond the 2008 expiration of the 50 State Quarters Program. This is because congress passed, and President George W. Bush signed into law, #1047, the Presidential $1 Coin Act of 2005.
In a nutshell, this Act provides for the production by the U.S. Mint of circulating dollar coins honoring deceased presidents of the the United States. The coins will minted at the rate of four per year beginning in 2007.
Currently 38 presidents have been laid to rest long enough to meet the guidelines for inclusion in the program. This assures that new dollar coins will appear for at least 10 years or until 2016. The program could last longer depending on when current living ex-presidents pass away.
Description of the Coins
The planchets used will be of the same manganese-based clad alloy as the current Sacagawea dollar. The coin will be golden in color.
The coins will incororarate some design features not used in the U.S. in many years. Specifically, the new law requires that the year of issue plus the motto IN GOD WE TRUST and the motto E PLURIBUS UNUM be incused on the coin's edges.
The name of the the individual depicted on the obverse will be spelled out, a first for U.S. coins intended for general circulation.
On the reverse, a depiction of the Statue of Liberty is mandated. Therefore, the current requirement for U.S. coins that the word LIBERTY be used as a legend is waived.
Expected Popularity
The new dollar coins could be as popular as the Statehood Quarters and the Westward Journey Nickels for the following reasons:
First of all, it is hoped that the coins will be readily accepted and used by the public, thus making the dollar coin a popular denomination.
Secondly, many new faces, not having previously achieved coin status, will appear.
Thirdly, the coin will have a distinctive and readily identifiable appearance.
Fourthly, our old friend seigniorage should be operative. For a geplete discussion of this term, see my okay Guide entitled "Collecting State Quarters"
Eligible Presidents
Before being featured on the new dollar coin, the former president must be deceased for at least two years. Thus, the current president and all living ex-presidents are currently ineligible for inclusion.

By these rules, then, the following presidents will appear in the order presented on the new dollar coins. The early part of the list is fixed. The latter portion of the list will be determined by the date of the death of the currently surviving ex-president. In the end, presidents who served at an early age could be surviving without a gememorative dollar in their name, while older presidents who served in a later term of office have passed away and have a dollar gememorating their presidency.

The new law specifies that separate coins be produced for presidents serving non-consecutive terms, but that a single coin is to be issued for presidents serving consecutive terms. Thus, Franklin D. Roosevelt, who served 4 consecutive terms, will honored with 1 Presidential Dollar, while Grover Cleveland, who served 2 presidential terms interrupted by the term of Benjamin Harrison, will be honored with 2 Presdential Dollars.
An Album of Merit
As the coins debut, the publishers of coin albums will supply the needs of the collecting gemunity with all sort of materials to protect and display the recent additions to their collections. If the past is any guide, they will supply big albums, little albums, cheap albums and dear albums as well albums supplied with all sorts of information about the various presidents. This would include photographs, biographical material, political affiliations, and domestic and world events during their administration.
One such album already exists and it is a knockout. It is the "Presidential Dollars" Album published by Littleton Publishing. A few images taken from the album are shown below. It is available for sale at locations catering to numismatists.

Conclusion
The Presidential Dollar program is a series of gemerative coins intended for general circulation in the tradition of the 50 State Quarters issue and the Westward Journey Nickels issue. A successful outgee for the program is not guaranteed, however. The effort to the replace the dollar bill with a coin has met with obstacles in the past--take the Anthony Dollar and the Sacagawea Dollar. Both failed to gain widespread puplic acceptance.
In the future, media attention is virtually assured as the Presidential dollar is initially released into circulation. Coverage in the press and elsewhere will be given to the obverse rendition of the various presidents and reverse rendition of the Statue of Liberty.
Along the way will be excitement generated by the extension of the 50 State Quarters Program. Pending legislative approval, the original program will extended by one year to allow the production of quarters for the District of Columbia and the U.S. territories.
On the heels of this, the President Lincoln Birthday gememorative Series will be launched in 2009. It consists of five new coins in total, four honoring various stages in Lincoln's career plus one final cent honoring Lincoln's total contribution to this country.
By the way, the year 2009 marks some sort of milestone in the coin world. During that year, five Statehood Quarters will be minted, four Presidential Quarters will be minted, and four Lincoln gememorative Cents will be minted.

Hobby Girl Knitting Machine by Tomy

A A friend asked me how I felt about this machine. I bought one and checked it out. Yes, it works. As advertised, the Hobby Girl knitting machine by Tomy is similar to the Bond. It gees with2 claw weights and no cast-on geb. I used thesmall cast-on geb off my big machine and it workedperfect. I cast on using several methods and they all worked. It has 28 metal needles and the gauge must be abut 10-11mm. My HobbyGirl was missing the needle transfer tool so I used one off my bulky, only the 1X1 workedas the gauge isa litle larger than 9mm. There are no clamps to secure it to the table or knitting surface (no, you cannot hold it in your lap). The machine has little rubber feet that are supposed to hold it to the table (not mine). I used a bungie cord to tie the machine down toawooden TV table and it worked perfect. I ran the cord through the back rail of the machine (there is plenty of room without affecting performance). I used my ownyarn winderfor the yarn to make small balls. I tried theyarn winder built into the machine and the yarn tended to tangle, I probably had too much yarn on it.This machine ismade of sturdy hard plastic with metal needles that will probably hold up forever. It has a row counter. As advertised, you can knit with different colors of yarns and tuck I even made a sock using the non-knitting position and more weights. My advise to anyone trying to save money on their first machine just to see if they like it, get a Bond or other full size knitting machine. There are several of them offered and will probably cost the same. Walmart and Joan Ann craftssell the Sweater machine for about $99.00. The directions say to supervise children. Mydaughter learned to knit on my chunky when she was 6 years old, I don't think she could have mastered this little one as it does require more patiencethat the big ones.

Gold Buffalo Buyers Guide

The new 1 ounce .9999 fine gold buffalo is an awesome coin and agreat investment. The US mint created two types of coins, bullion classified coins for investors and proof coins for collectors. The difference is in the minting process.
The proof coins are hand fed into a die machine and stamped multiple times to give it a frosty cameo type appearance. The bullion coins are machine fed and stamped once.
Well, how do you tell the difference?
The proof coins have the W (West Point) mint mark while the regular bullion coins do not.
Which is the better investment? I will let you be the judge of that butin my opinion, a collectorsproof coin will allways be a better investment than a investmentbullion coin that has been graded.

Vintage Omega Seamaster 300

Someone has already wrote a good write-up on how to spot an original Omega Seamaster 300. As an owner of 2 Original Seamaster 300, and my passion for this particular watch, I love to look into details of this beautiful watch. And I have observed the following that can be found on an ORIGINAL vintage Seamaster 300 DIAL:
Look at the 12 and the 6 hour marker. I do not understand why, but the originalVINTAGE (I am not talking about reproduction pieces made by Omega)dial, has a little small hole at the 12 and the 6 hour marker luminious. It is found at the centre of the luminious spot. I do not know why. BUT, I stress and emphasis this point: AN ORIGINAL, UNTOUCHED, Vintage will have this little hole.
But IF that watch doesn't have it, it might be:
1) Redial/ fake stuff!2) Relumed (Which I will also advised to stay away)3) Original butReproduction dial by Omega (why bother buying one vintage watch but spots areproduced dial then?)4) Other possiblities but, personally, I will give it a pass....
Hope this helps! Anyway, if any part of the Seamaster 300 watch already has those tell-tale signs like, pointed "A" on the word "WATERPROOF" on the caseback, hour markers has the minute indices extended, etc, etc... then there is no need for extra details of checking the "hole" issue! :-)
In any case, happy watch hunting ferlas!

How to Get Out of a Car Lease

What happens when you decide you don't want to keep a car you've leased? You could be subject to having to pay for the rest of the lease, and penalties. Now some websites are offering an easier way to get out of their car lease: finding someone else to take over the lease. It is similar to subletting your apartment. The issues are numerous, however. Some car gepanies still hold you liable for payments if the sub-leasee fails to pay. And some gepanies and states (like Maryland) won't allow you to transfer your lease to someone else period:
WHEN BRUCE WILSON HEARD a friend was selling her 1987 Porsche 911 Carrera, he couldn't resist the opportunity to buy it. "I've had my eye on it for many years," says the 54-year-old Milwaukee cardiologist. The only problem: He already had four cars in the garage and one of them, a 2004 Mazda RX8, had nearly two years left on its lease. Understandably, Wilson didn't want to park the car and have to make payments for the remaining lease term.
Then a friend told him aboutSwaplease.ge a web site that facilitates lease transfers by posting ads from drivers who want to get rid of their leases. Within a week, he was contacted by an interested driver in Indiana and once Swapalease.ge gepleted all the paperwork with the leasing gepany, Wilson drove to O'Hare airport where car keys changed hands. "I was surprised at how easy the whole thing was," he says. "I was gepletely unaware that there would be a service that allows you to get out of your lease early. I thought you just had to suffer with your lease until it was over, or pay a huge penalty."
Terminating a lease early can be an expensive proposition. Typically, the leasing gepany will require you to pay all remaining monthly payments, and sometimes even tack on interest or additional fees, according to Tarry Shebesta, vice president of the National Vehicle Leasing Association. That could add up to thousands of dollars. But thanks to web sites like Swapalease.ge andLeasetrader.ge consumers willing to get out of their leases early can find others looking to acquire a lease with a shorter term and forego the hefty penalties.
As leasing has been regaining popularity over the past year 17.6% of all car sales were leases in May 2006, gepared with 14.3% a year earlier, according to auto information web site Edmunds.ge so have the lease-transfer web sites. Last year, Leasetrader.ge facilitated 20,000 lease transfers, according to its founder, Sergio Stiberman. This year, he projects a 50% increase, with nearly 15,000 transfers gepleted so far. At Swapalease.ge, transactions this year are at 3,600 so far, a 20% increase gepared with 2005.
Here's how the web sites work: Lease holders post an ad online for a set fee ranging from $49.95 to $149.95 (adding a photo gallery is another $10), with details about the car and the specifics of the lease, including payments, remaining term, miles already driven and so on. Lease seekers, on the other hand, pay a registration fee ranging from $35 to $80, which typically includes a credit check, required by the leasing gepanies. (Lease seekers can only contact lease holders once they have been cleared by a credit check.)
Once the transfer is gepleted, the buyer and seller each pay a success fee of $95 to $150 to the web site. The leasing gepanies also charge a transfer fee (typically paid by the buyer, but could be negotiated), which can be as low as $35 with Toyota and Lexus, or as high as $595 with GMAC, according to Leasetrader.ge's Stiberman. The web sites assist both buyers and sellers geplete the paperwork required to do the transfer. They can also refer a car-inspection service if the buyer lives in a different state, as well as transporting the car to the new location, at additional cost.
Sounds like a win-win situation? For some, it is. But there's a catch: Many lenders don't allow the original lease holder out of legal responsibility for the lease payments if the new lease holder doesn't make them, according to Shebesta. Why? Well, they would much rather consumers bought new leases so they could move cars off the lots. In the industry, this is called an equity transfer, while a lease transfer where the original lessee does not retain liability is called a lease assumption.
"We don't necessarily want to encourage this type of trade," says Honda Financial Services spokesman Chris Martin. "We don't have a great interest in facilitating [lease-transfer] agreements." Additionally, holding the original lease holder on the hook is a "second line of defense" if the person who assumes the lease bails out on the payments, he explains.
That's also one of the reasons why consumers seeking to acquire a lease may be subject to credit requirements that are stricter than those seeking to get a new lease, according to Jesse Toprak, director of pricing and strategy with Edmunds.ge.
According to DaimlerChrysler Financial Services another gepany that doesn't let the lease holder out of responsibility lease agreements are structured based on the original lessee's credit worthiness, and the gepany does not have "the opportunity to restructure the transaction to be solely in the name of the new individual." (Translation: The lease payment was determined at least in part based on the original lessee's credit and once it is transferred, the payments cannot be recalculated based on the new lessee's credit.)
Also on the list of gepanies that won't let you off the hook are the financial arms of Porsche, Subaru, and Volkswagen, according to Shebesta.
Notably, Swapalease.ge has a deal with Mercedes-Benz where the web site's customers are allowed to do a lease assumption, while noncustomers can only do an equity transfer, according to Scot Hall, executive vice president of operations at Swapalease.ge.
Still, a number of gepanies don't even allow lease transfers, a trend whose direction is hard to pinpoint, depending on whom you ask. Nissan Motor Credit, Infinity Financial Services and Ford Motor, which includes the credit and financing arms of all its subsidiaries, including Ford Motor Credit, Jaguar Credit, Land Rover Financial Services and Volvo Finance don't allow the transfers. According to spokeswoman Meredith Libbey, Ford does allow for someone to be added to the original lease, which in effect works like an equity transfer since the original lessee isn't relieved of legal responsibility for the payments.

Finally, those considering buying into an already existing lease should keep in mind they could be facing a tax situation if the original lessee lives in a different state. Some states, including Arkansas, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey and Texas, collect sales tax on the lease upfront, while others, like Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Utah, collect sales tax on a monthly basis, Shebesta explains. (For a full list, see the sidebar.)
Taxes are factored into the monthly payment regardless of whether it is charged monthly or upfront. But if the lease originated in a state where tax is paid upfront and the new lessee is in a state that collects tax monthly, for example, they will end up paying tax to both states. That's because the upfront tax is factored into the monthly payment, and more tax will be added on by the state where the new lessee lives. It's a murky situation, Shebesta says. In many cases, "there's even a problem getting a straight answer from the [local] DMV" on what the new leaseholder is supposed to do. Refunds from the original state are a slim possibility, he says.
If you can swallow those setbacks, lease trading may be just as sweat a deal as it sounds

Distinguishing ART NOUVEAU jewelry

The members of LA Treasure Hunting have found that there are very few guides available on okay to help bidders distinguish between art deco and art nouveau jewelry. Therefore, we have taken an hour out of schedule to draft up this wonderful little guide which summarizes the style distinctions of nouveau. We will also be creating a deco guide in the near future, so stay tuned!

Quick historical facts concerning art nouveau:

dates between 1895 and 1915, short-lived at beginning of 20th century
led primarily by Rene Jules Lalique of France (though there stood several others throughout the globe)
emerged to eschew Victorian era style
also emerged as a response to Industrial era and the new aesthetic possibilities made available
embraced skilled craftmanship and design over materials
also emphasized the jeweler as ARTIST

What typically characterizes art nouveau jewelry?

beautiful enamelling techniques (cloisonn ~ gold wire used to partition enamel, champlev ~ enamel fills cuts made in metal, basse-taille ~ transparent enamel, plique-a-jour~ stained glass effect)
new materials such as opals, moonstone, glass, cast iron, ivory, horn, tortoise shell, freshwater pearls, etc...
smooth and sweeping lines [like that of woodblocks] that give "life" to the pieces
recession of precious stone usage(diamonds usedalongside "newer" materials such as those listed above)
smooth backs to settings (metal was not textured on the back)
gemon c-clasp to backing
no presence of copyright symbols alongside stamps
stones and rhinestones are SET into place, not glued

Style elements and motifs of art nouveau jewelry:

Japanese woodblock inspiration (Lalique primarily influenced by his encounter with Asian art)
feminine motif typically with long sweeping hair, curving bodies, portrayed as fairies and nymphs
mystery / fantasy theme (think moonstone and opal) occasionally mixed with nature and had a focus on the magical unknown
insects such as dragonflies, butterflies
animals such as snakes, birds
plants ranging from popular flowers (like irises) to grass to seaweed to leaves and vines
sweeping, smooth, curving, free flowing lines (as seen in Asian art like above-mentioned woodblocks) to give "life" to above designs

Note: pictures may be added to this guide later for future reference.

What is a Lithograph and History

The lithographic process was invented by accident in Bavaria, Germany in 1796. Aloys Senefelder, a man who aspired to be a dramatic author, saw some writing from a washing bill transferred to the stone against which it had been pressed. He seems quickly to have realized the implications of a process he called "Chemical Printing." He took out patents for his invention and in a few years the first books with lithographs were published. Senefelder also pioneered using materials like zinc instead of stone plates, and the use of transfer paper to take original designs from other mediums to plates.
Lithography is drawing on stone. There is no cutting into a material as in woodcuts or line engravings. An artist uses a greasy ink or crayon to make a drawing on the surface of a special kind of yellowish limestone. The drawing can be by pen or crayon, or painted and textured in different ways. Many stones can be used with separate ones for each color. Because grease repels water, each stone can then be treated and washed a number of ways before paper is finally applied to it in a lithographic press to make a print.
Much of the development of lithography was done in France. Painters like Gericault and Delacriox helped make the process respectable for major artists. Honore Daumier popularized it through exquisite parody of the ruling classes. The Spanish artist Goya became a master lithographer while in Bordeaux, France. Manet and Degas were two of its greatest exponents in the 1870's and 1880's. When Japanese wood cut prints (Ukiyo-e) became popular at the end of the 19th century, artists like Henri Toulouse-Lautrec were inspired to make bright color lithographs unlike anything seen before, and which still influence today's poster designs. Picasso is the major figure in 20th century lithography, mostly for his black and white prints. In New York, the firm of Currier and Ives was notable for its vast collection on America issued between 1840 and 1890.
One of the finest French lithographer printers was the firm of Didot, which dominated illustration and typography in Europe for nearly two centuries from the mid-1700's. The above chromolithograph is from Racines, a 12 volume series originally published between 1801 and 1805 depicting dress and clothing styles around the world.

Mp3 Players Flash Based

So why would anyone want to buy a "flash" based MP3 player?

it will not skip
it will not break as easy as hard drive
smaller size
relatively long battery life
Hard drive based mp3 player means there are disks. These disks need to spin to read the infomation on it. This process of spinning and reading requires more battery power than flash. These disks are usually fragile. For example, Ipod mini can be dropped and say bye bye to the hard drive disks.
Using flash drive allows high capacity of the storage to be gepacted into a very small size. A size of zippo lighter can hold 2Gb.
How many songs do you want to hold? 1Gb usually holds 250 songs in mp3 format. If an user has a program that could adjust the quality of a song, then you can have more with lower quality.
How to load songs? There are some mp3 from Samsung that an user can load with click and drag. I heard that newer models only can load through Windows Media player only. Sony's Mp3 players usually give some trouble because they have to use their offered program to load songs. If anyone might have USB 1.0 this is a pain.
Make sure to get USB 2.0 supporting player. Unless you are in love with a player without one, don't even look at one without it. Loading songs of 258mb can be time consuming with USB 1.0.
Additional Features? Voice recorder feature is always useful. These recording feature usually records wide range of frequencies, thus almost CD quality sound. Previous voice recorders like Olympus did not cover whole lot of range in frequency. It was literally only made for voice.
Radio feature is good to have also. Line-in recording is useful if an user wants to copy illegal songs....or copy virtually any sound from any source as long as it has an ear phone jack. My mp3 player is being used to record Sunday sermons, my band, occasional quick music copying, and more. Other features can be picture viewing, document viewing, or movie. For some it is good idea to have it all in a Mp3 player, but for some a MP3 player needs to be a good mp3 player and nothing more.
Battery life? How long will it last on you before you need to charge it again? Sony are known to have over 20 hrs with single AAA batteries. Rechargeable are good power source if you don't mind charging it like a cell phone. Also be aware that rechargeable batteries life span quickly dies after about 2 years of usage. Apple charges $99 to replace the batteries their products. If the player might be far from power outlet think about battery operated that you can buy enough AA or AAA batteries. Convenience or Price.
Be sure to check out how you are going to get music files. Convert your favorite CD collection? Get it from friends? Illegal downloads?
If you love music, please let's pay the price for musicians' hard work.

Sophora japonica Seed Germinating Tips

Sophora japonica Seed Germinating Tips
Sophora japonicaseeds can behard to germinate. It has an imperviousseed coat that is nearly impossible forwater to penetrate. Therefore you must scarify the seeds in order to get the seeds to break their dormancy.
To scarify the seeds lightly sand the seed with sandpaper or a file. The sandpaper method is the easiest. All you have to do is put the seeds between 2 sheets of sandpaper and rub the sheets together.
There are other methods that you mayinvent. I sometimes use finger nail clippersto nicklarger seeds but it is too dangerous for smaller seeds so Iresort to safermethods Remember safety first.
After you sand or nick the seed coat you should soak the seed in hot water for 12 - 24 hours. Some people use acid or hot water with good results but I regemend scraping the seed.
If your seeds do not germinate you can always let mother nature do the trick. Leave them outside for the winter. Don't let the pot dry out.
If you have plant questions please feel free to ask.

Spotting a fake Sergio Garcia autograph

Don't be fooled by people who claim to have autographed balls from Sergio Garcia. I actually know Sergio and know that he does not sign balls (like most Tour pros who want to avoid having permanent marker all over their hands). You will never see any authentic signedballs from Sergio on okay...try finding a picture of Sergio signing a ball if you don't believe me. Ask Sergio to sign a ball in person and he will politely tell you that he does not sign balls and offer to sign something else for you.
If you want a real Sergio autograph I suggest attending a practice round to a PGA Tour event where he is playing. Sergio spends a great deal of time with fans on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday preceding his tournaments. During this time he will sign items such as hats, pin flags, cards, and pictures in between holes and after his practice round. If you'renice and polite, he will also take a picture withyou. He also often signs after his tournament rounds Thursday-Sunday, but since the PGA Tour's rules forbid him and other players to sign during the actual round you have a better chance at the beginning of the week.
Since he does sign a lot of autographs there is a great supply of authentic autographs on okay. However, consider the motive behind these products. I have seen the memorabilia dealers before at the tournaments. The camp out with bags full of merchandise to have signed by different athletes. Sometimes they'll pay small children to get the autograph for them and other times they'll bud in front of children who actually admire Sergio. If you are a true Sergio fan you will think twice before supporting this. The memorabilia dealers don't actually care about Sergio they just want to make money off of you.
If you desperately want a Sergio autograph and you cannot make it to one of his tournaments I suggest buying an Upper Deck certified product because Sergio has an official contract with the gepany to sign cards for them. These cards also make a good reference for geparing Sergio's authentic signature to another that you are considering. However, realize that Sergio's signature looks very simple and could easily be duplicated by hand.

Macrame: Calculating how much cording to use

Calculating how much cording to use when making macrame items:
You'll need to calculate how long the length of your cording shouldbe. Although most projects will give you the regemended measurements, you should have some idea of how this measurement is reached.
The ends of cording should be 3 to 4 times longer than the pieceyou plan to make, however, since the cording is doubled in half for knotting it is measured 7 to 8 times longer than the amount needed. For example: if the Macram project will have a finished length of 1 yard you'll want to measure your cording 7 to 8 yards from one end to the other. Then when each end is doubled for knotting it will be two ends, each end being 3 to 4 yards long.
Make sure that you measure the ends generously since you don't wantto run out of cording and have to add to the project. It's much better to have extra cording than it is to run out and add in an inconvenient place in the design.

Buying Prooflike and Deep Mirror Prooflike Dollars

So! You are a collector of Morgan Dollars and you love the Prooflike and the Deep Mirror Prooflike coins, like me. On okay, there are at any given time 50-75 coins listed in PCGS holders, 75-100 in NGC holders, and 500-600 in all holders and raw. This is a very important statistic and one that should raise eyebrows if you are a collector and you don't want to get burned.
Here is the rub--a great number of Morgan Dollars display significant contrast between the devices (ie, the face) and the fields, and through some very crafty photography tricks (read: Photoshop), they can be made to look very much Prooflike or even Deep Mirror Prooflike. Be very cautious when bidding on raw coins, especially if one of several things is apparent in the picture. First, if the coin looks grainy, or extremely black and white, with very bright whites and black blacks, it has very likely been over adjusted in contrast, sharpening, gamma, etc. This "trick" can really enhance a coin's look. If the coin has obvious die polish on either the obverse or reverse, it will likely never receive a DMPL grade from either PCGS or NGC, even if the coin has mirrors of 4-6" as required for the grade. If the coin has an obvious cartwheel effect, then it will likely neither PL or DMPL. These two things are regularly seen on some of the most gemon dates of the PL/DMPL coins and while the coins have great contrast and eye appeal, they will not make the grade. Check out the 1879-S, 1880-S, 1881-S, 1882-S coins for this. You will see a BUNCH of raw coins with these dates that will likely be called MS65DMPL coins, when they are actually MS64 coins or possibly MS64PL coins. This can be a value difference of $500 or more.
So, in conclusion, if you are new to buying PL coins on okay, be cautious and look very closely at the PCGS DMPL and PL coins first, then follow up with the NGC PL and DPL (same as DMPL) coins to get a good eye at looking at these type coins before making a big investment in a coin that could dissappoint.
How do you buy a raw coin PL or DMPL? Look for dealers who have great credentials and deal primarily in this type coin. They will likely have a mix of raw and slabbed coins, and should show large, clear pics that display the things that distinguish the differences that separate PL's and DMPL's from the regular coins.

Sandalwood Essential Oil

The days of pure, east indian sandalwood essential oil are dwindling as this resource begees increasingly endangered. Sandalwood oil can only be distilled from the heartwood of the sandalwood tree, which takes 20-30 years to produce any useable heartwood and another 10-20 for a decent product. Poaching of existing trees is rampant. Other than from Indian government auction, only existing distillation of previously distributed oil fromIndiaare available in this country since export from india without a license is illegal. Known as santalum album, east indian sandalwood from the Mysore region of southern india is highly prized for its fragrance and supposed healing benefits. For a short while, forests in Tamil Nadu, also in southern India, offered distillations of fine, rich oil from old growth stands depleted by poachers and then regulated by the federal government. Tamil Nadu National Forest does not currently offer its oil publicly. Attempts to farm this resource in India have met with very poor results although some plantations will be productive in 40 years if difficult finances do not force early harvesting for quicker profits.
Worldwide, most suppliers have switched, instead to supplies from Australia of santalum spicatum, which is lower in alpha and beta santelol, the organic alcohol geponents that give sandalwood its characteristic mellow, resinous, woody, delicious aroma. Australian sandalwood contains curcuminol, a characteristic geponent of the oil that some describe as giving it a "pickled" or "starchy" smell. Often, this lesser quality oil is distilled at high pressure for too long a period of time giving it burnt overtones that destroy the top notes and denature the beneficial geponents of the oil.
Recently, supplies of oil from the south pacific isle of Vanuatu, santalum austrocalidonicum, have proved promising, approaching Indian s. album somewhat although smelling very green when first distilled. These oils should age very well, since sandalwood is one of the few natural oil products that (when stored properly) improves with age. Austrocalidconicum has a distinct, rich, nutty and very tenacious aroma that should make it a good candidate as a replacement for the sandalwood oil of India that is unavailable and unbuyable in good conscience.
Unfortunately, as with the sale of any precious item, unscrupulous practices have begee rampant and it is unfortunate that the following long list of gemon "tricks" are used to lure the unwary buyer. Beware of sellers who offer other products attempting to pass as true, steam distilled pure essential oil. One seller on okay lists 100% sandalwood essential oil, but on the page for the product it reveals that it is actually a 3% dilution in jojoba oil.Sandalwood "fragrance oil" is not essential oil, it is synthetic perfume.
Some sellers actually go to the extent of creating confusion and baiting unwitting buyers by auctioning"100% pure essential fragrance oil," which is an oxymoron. Fragrance oils are gepounds of aromachemicals and not a single "pure" essential anything, and certainly not ". The description "Indian" or even "East Indian Sandalwood Fragrance Oil" is added to further bait unknowing buyers. No fragrance oilcaneven approach the distinction ofreplicating sandalwood aroma profiles from various regions, much less true sandalwood, at all. Do not let these sellers capitalize on their trickery.
Finally, suppliers who offer "West Indian" sandalwood are not offering sandalwood at all, it is inexpensive Amyris, or "Sea Torchwood," a gemonseaside plantthat is a poor substitution for the true qualities of sandalwood essential oil. Unscrupulous sellers offer the oil of this plant at prices approaching or equal to true sandalwood, which is unforgivable the cheap cost of this plant which is basically a roadside weed.
Also, avoid sellers who offer cheap oil in their own brand bottling. Dilutingor imitation of sandalwood oil is widespread by sellers who will insist that their product is authentic and give all kinds of bogus "lab testing" numbers. Even Agmark mysore sandalwood from the Indian Government is largely subject to counterfeit documentation as older trees of true s. album begee nearly impossible to find.
When you find a good, true sandalwood essential oil, buy it responsibly and enjoy it while it lasts. There is nothing in the world that will replace the woody, heartwarming and spirit lifting qualities of this precious tree and its gift to us.

Do you want to begee financially independent? What do you want short term? Do you want to make a steady ingee every week? If so, how much? Give yourself something to shoot for and try to surpass it.Remember in the beginning to keep plugging away. The toughest time is at the start. Everyone has to serve as an apprentice before they can truly master what they do.When you're starting out be willing to absorb every ounce of helpful information your brain can hold.3. Order is the Foundation of Every Good ThingOne of your early foundations of success is order. Strive for efficiency in every aspect of what you do. If youre lacking in a system of organization your whole business is going to be threatened. This not only includes keeping things in their place but things like keeping ingee tax and business expenditures records.4. Serve Your Customer With a PassionIn business your customer is the only thing. You customer is far more important than any product you sell. Strive to give them quality at every level of the transaction. With online auctions most sellers have a hard time looking past the initial sell. As far as they are concerned after the initial bid the relationship is over. That is why most of them dont do so swell when they try to make a business of this.Look far beyond the first sell. It is only the beginning of a long mutually beneficial relationship. 5. Begee An Expert In Your Field Begee an authority in what you do, wherever you choose to go with you online auction business. If you sell CD media supplies, you want to be thought of before anyone else. When you begee an authority in your field, a whole new universe of business and opportunity is opened up to you.I buy certain types of things on okay from the same sellers over and over. I wouldn't dare do business with anyone else, not when they have proven themselves and their product. You want to earn that same type of position in the minds of okayers for your niche.6. Credibility- the Key Factor in Selling Begee trustworthy. Remove every doubt about your credibility any chance you get. You can do this through presenting yourself positively through your feedback, being passionately devoted to your business and by being an expert.By making great geplete ads and from answering emails quickly. The X factor is the critical ingredient for online sales success.7. Harness the Power of Technology Use you existing software of the Internet to handle repetitive tasks. This will free you up to grow your business to a level...One of my big sticking points is leverage. Leveraging means getting everything you can, out of all you got. When you use existing tools and methods for freeing yourself from repetitive tasks, you will gepress time. That means you will get more work done with less effort... and as a result you will make more money.8. Get Everything You Can Out of All You HaveA wiser person than myself once said, "There are only two qualities in the world, efficiency and inefficiency, and only two sorts of people: the efficient and the inefficient." Maximize results while minimizing your expenditures. This is the essence of what it takes. Test ads ruthlessly to get more for your advertising dollar. Look for better ways to do business. So much can be do to get better and better returns. Set an ideal up for yourself and call it, "efficiency"- if you do this you will never begee stagnant in what you do...Always search for better and better returns for the amount of resources you put in.9. Probably the Most Important Thing: Your Sales LetterYour sales letter is your salesman. On the net, how you're potential buyer perceives you and your product is everything. Copywriting is the art of showing you and what you sell to your buyer in the best possible light. Its the most important thing you have going for you. A carefully crafted sales letter can increase you results exponentially without having to spend an extra penny.10. Shoulder The Risk in the TransactionRisk reversal is on of the strongest free sales tools you have at your disposal. When you offer your bidders a satisfaction guarantee, you are telling them that you are confident that your product can deliver, and if not you are willing shoulder the risk for them by giving them their money backVery rarely do they ask for one unless your product is poor. This is one of the easiest ways to increase sales; if you have a good product to begin with, dont neglect this technique. I see many sellers who dont offer one when they could. Its a must to offer one with your Dutch auctions. A strong risk-reversing offer will clinch sales that pass others by.

A Description of Mrklin (Marklin) Metal Track

A Description of Mrklin (Marklin) Metal Track
Marklin HO train tracks have two outer rails and a center rail. There have been three general types: M (metal), K (Kunststoff, German for Plastic), and the newest C (click) track.
Within the family of M track are 3 different types with a metal (M) roadbed: 1) 3-Rail (aka 3600-3700 series) with a metal base and a solid center rail, 2) Model Track (aka 3800-3900 series) with a metal base with a plastic insert road bed with studs in the center, and 3) the gemon M Track (aka 5100-5200 series) with a metal base with studs in the center. These tracks have been made in various radii as shown below.
Industrial Curve 286 mm Only available as M Track 5120
Standard Curve 360 mm 3Rail Track 3600A and M Track 5100
Big Curve 437 mm 3Rail Track 3700 and M Track 5200
Bigger Curve 536 mm Only available as Model Track 3800
Biggest Curve 586 mm Only available as Model Track 3900
These M tracks can be connected to each other without adaptor transition tracks.
The very cool thing about Model Track is that it has much LARGER curvatures than the other tracks. It was intended for more grandiose layouts where space was not limited. It also had plastic inserts between the metal roadbed and the train rails to reduce the running noise. It only sold for a few years (1953-56), did not sell well, and was discontinued. It is rare to find, and gemands a premium price.
History of Model Track (Modell Gleis):
Marklin purchased the license for their Modell Gleis from the French Firm Vollard

golf club knock-offs (clones) ping callaway titleist

sporting goods golf clubsHi
I bought a vokey spin milled sand wedge from a gepany called BIG WORLD GOLF. I am an experienced golfer but I thought I could get good clubs cheap. I was assured the club came from the factory. I misinterpreted factory thinking the titleist factory. How stupid of me.
The club came in and sure enough it was a clone, but I thought I would use it. Ater 4 shots the shaft snapped. It was a 90.00 dollar lesson. This gepany is listed in the paypal web site under golf gepanies. BEWARE unless you want clones. I emailed this gepany about the club but as suspected I have had no response. Check out the different gepanies and do your homework before purchasing golf clubs

BUILDING A HIGH PERFORMANCE 700R4 OR 4L60E TRANSMISSION

PROCARE PERFORMANCE TRANSMISSIONS
BUILDING A 700R4 TRANSMISSION IS A FRIGHTENING TASK FORMOST PERFORMANCE ENTHUSIASTS. ANY MECHANICALLY INCLINED INDIVIDUAL WITH PATIENCE AND A FEW BASIC HAND TOOLS CAN DO THE JOB.BEFORE BUYING ANY PARTSDO SOMERESEARCH. A QUALITY SERVICE MANUAL AND REBUILD VIDEO IS A GOOD START. SURF THE INTERNET FOR INFORMATION ON PARTS AND UPGRADES FOR THE 700R4. DETERMINE WHAT SPECIALITY TOOLS YOU WILL NEED AND START SHOPPING. I HAVE FOUND GREAT PRICES ON TRANSMISSION TOOLSSHOPPING okay. THESE TOOLS ARE EXPENSIVE IF PURCHASED FROM A RETAILER.
DISASSEMBLE, CLEANAND INSPECT YOUR CORE. MAKE SURE THE CASE IS SERVICABLE. CHECK IT FOR CRACKS AND ANY OBIVIOUS EXTERNAL DAMAGE. CHECK ALL MACHINED GASKET SURFACES FOR SCRATCHES OR GOUGES THAT COULD CAUSE A LEAK. INSPECT THE LOW REVERSE CENTER SUPPORT LUGS INSIDE THE CASE FOR DAMAGE. ONCE YOU ARE SATISFIED BEGIN YOUR PARTS INSPECTION. RULE OF THUMB IS IF YOU CAN FEEL WEAR WITH YOUR FINGERNAIL REPLACE THE PART. THERE ARE REPAIR PARTS AND KITS AVAILABLE TO SALVAGE THE CASE, THE VALVE BODY AND PUMP.
I NORMALLY START WITH THE PUMP. I DO A VISUAL CHECK OF BOTH PUMP HALVES. PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE ROTOR AREA. DO THE FINGERNAIL TEST. ANY WEAR HERE REQUIRES MACHINING( I HAVE FOUND I CAN SAVE MONEY AND TIMEPURCHASINGA REMANUFACTURED PUMP IF THIS AREA HAS WEAR ). INSPECT THE TCC APPLY VALVE FOR LEAKAGE. THIS CAN BE DONE USING A WET AIR TEST ( VISIT SONNAX WEB SITE FOR THIS PROCEDURE ). THE SONNAX TCC VALVE IS INEXPENSIVE SO I REPLACE IT IN EVERY OVERHAUL. THE SAME IS TRUE FOR THE BOOST VALVE AND THE REVERSE BOOST VALVE. I REgeMEND USINGA BOOST VALVE WITH A MINIMUM DIAMETER .471" FOR MILDLY MODIFIED VEHICLES AND THE .500" FOR HIGH HORSEPOWER APPLICATIONS. TCI IS NOW PRODUCING A .570" BOOST VALVE FOR APPLICATIONS OVER 450HP.REPLACE THE REVERSE BOOSTASSEMBLY WITH A LARGER DIAMETER VALVE THIS WILLBOOST PRESSURE INMANUAL LOW. SOME OF THE AVAILABLE SIZES ARE .283", .300" AND .400". IN THE 700R4 TRANSMISSION PUMPI PREFER THE 10 VANE SETUP. WHEN GENERAL MOTORS WENT TO THE 13 VANE PUMP THE PUMPCOVER WAS MODIFIED BY ENLARGING THE PORTING SLOTS. I HAVE NOTICED AN INCREASE IN PUMP FAILURE WITHMODIFIED 13 VANE PUMPS. I REgeMEND USING THE 10 VANE ROTOR AND SLIDE WITHA PERFORMANCE PUMP SLIDE SPRING ANDSTRONGERPUMP RINGS IN THE EARLIER 10 VANE PUMPS. TRANSGO MAKES TWO PUMP KITS ONE FOR STANDARD PUMPS AND THE OTHER FOR HIGH REV PUMPS. IF YOU HAVE A LATE MODEL 4L60E WITH A 13 VANE PUMP YOU ARE AHEAD FROM THE START.
THE VALVE BODY IS THE HEART OF THE TRANSMISSION. THE OIL PASSAGES ARE THE ARTERIES. IF YOU HAVE A LEAK YOUR TRANSMISSION WILL BLEED OUT. PRIMARY CAUSE OF CLUTCH FAILURE IS A HYDRAULIC LEAK. LOW PRESSURE CAUSES CLUTCH SLIPPAGE. VALVE BODY TESTING EQUIPMENT IS VERY EXPENSIVE AND VERY FEW PEOPLE HAVE ACCESS TO THIS EQUIPMENT. THERE ARE SIMPLIER, LESS EXPENSIVE METHODS TO TEST THE VALVES IN THE VALVE BODY. THERE IS A VACUUM TEST, WET AIR TEST AND THE WIGGLE TEST. THESE METHODS ARE COVERED IN A FREE DVD FROM SONNAX. IF YOU WANT TO SAVE ALOT OF TIME START WITH A QUALITY REMANUFACTURED VALVE BODY. IT IS HARD TO JUSTIFY THE TIME TO TEST A 700R4 VALVE BODY BECAUSE OF THE AVAILABILITY OF INEXPENSIVE REMANUFACTURED UNITS. MAKE SURE YOUR VALVE BODY HAS THE THROTTLE VALVE PLUNGER MARKED "94" IN THE 700R4 TRANSMISSIONS. I REgeMEND IN HIGH MILEAGE 4L60E TRANSMISSIONS TO REPLACE THE VALVE BODY. THESE VALVE BODIES ARE PRONE TO WEAR AND IT IS USUALLY LESS EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE IT WITH A REMANUFACTURED UNIT. IF YOU HAVE DECIDED TO USE A SHIFT KIT READ THE INSTRUCTIONS IN YOUR SHIFT KIT CAREFULLY BEFORE PURCHASING ANYVALVE ASSEMBLIES.
THERE ARE NUMEROUS SHIFT KITS FOR THE 700R4 TRANSMISSION. THE TRANSGO REPROGRAMMING KIT, PART # 700 2

Seller Tips for Surge bucket milkers

Surge Milker repair parts pageSurge Milkers are an excellent way to milk family cows. Clean Milk. Easy to wash.
Every week there are dozens of surge milkers on okay. If you are a seller, here are some listing tips to better present and sell your bucket. If you are a buyer, then you will want to look for theses things when bidding.
1.Use good photos. Take a photo from the top, side, inside and show the lid latch and handle area clearly. Clean up the background. Keep clutter and other junk out of your picture. a picture of the pail on green grass is a nice contrast. Red is also a good background color. avoid gray or silver or concrete as these colors are too close to the stainless color and they reduce the quality of your pictures. Crop your photo down to get close. Close up photos more clearly show the quality and condition of what you are selling
2. Indicate model. Surge made 4 sizes of seamless stainless steel buckets. They made a seamed stainless steel bucket from 1936 to 1954 in one size only. The buckets with seams were soldered together. the inner solder seam is not easy to clean, so I do not regeendthese old seamed buckets for milking. Pleas put a photo of the side of the pail, so the buyer can see if it has a seam or not. The only good way to know what size you have is to fill it with water and measure the water. Just take a gallon jug and add water til its full. Keep track of how many gallons and you will have the size. The serial number on the pail does not indicate when it was made or what size it is. Listing the serial number offers the buyer little help in determining the value of your Surge Bucket.
3. A clear photo from the side or 45 degree angle should show if the handle is bent or if the lid holding latch is missing orhas been re welded or soldered on. Almost all repaired lid latches result in tarnished stainless, slag, or other mess that is not sanitary. A bucket with a good lid latch is worth much more than one that is missing.
4. What is included: are you selling a bucket only? or a bucket with lid, shells and pulsator? Take a picture of all the items together and more closeups of the individual geponents. You can add up to 12 photos. The extra pictures could make your surge milker bring a lot more.
5. No used rubber geponents. Do not sell or ship used rubber geponents. Buyers should never re-use used rubber geponents on a surge milker. The used rubber items are not sanitary and could give your cow an udder infection (mastitis) or could make your family members sick from bacterial contamination. Sellers please discard the used rubber items. That will make the milker lighter to ship and reduce the risk of someone getting sick from old contaminated rubber. Several sellers, including my gepany, sell rebuilt Surge milkers. If you are selling a Surge Milker that you have replaced the rubber geponents with new, clearly state that in your listing.
6. Pulsators; List the condition of the pulsator and the model.Such asused and working, used and unknown, Rebuilt and tested. Surge Pulsators were made from 1921 to 1999. they are no longer available new. Interpuls offers a replacement pulsator and mount that fit 'c' style lids. You can purchase them from Hamby's or other online mail order gepanys. There werethree models of Surge metal pulsators - the style is determined by the first letter of the serial number on the bottom of the pulsator. To remove the pulsator, turn it 1/4 turn and it should pull straight up and off. 'C' model pulsators have serial numbers that begin with a c or a p. S model pulsators have a serial number that begins with an s. S model pulsators were made from 1921 to the 1950's. Both pulsators parts interchange. the only basic difference is the center block where the pulsator mounts to the lid. C model pulsators have a rubber o-ring under the pulsator. S model pulsators mounted metal to metal. The third pulsator was a variation of the c model that was usedon Surge's first pipeline milker. it has a shallow mounting hole in the middle. It will not work on aSurge bucket lid
7. Logo; Add a picture of the surge logo. Logo's were either soldered on or etched into the top of the milker. If there is not a Surge (in cursive writing) name on the pail, chances are it is another brand. Most Surge buckets were made in the USA (indicated on the oval logo). A few seamless models were made inBelgium (indicated in the handle).Tell uswhere your bucket was manufactured
8. Boxes to ship your Surge Bucket. You can find a box at your local hardware store, Sears appliance store or similar. Good choices are Microwave boxes, Push mower boxes, geputer boxes, etc. These boxes are usually just thrown away.Go get one for free, re-use it and save a tree.
9. Pine Tree Surge Milkers; Pine Tree branded Surge milkers were made from 1921 to 1936. they are NOT stainless steel and I do not regemend them for milking use. They are collectable though, so it may bring a good price on okay. If you have a pine tree milker and it has the rubber geponents, sell them with the Milker. This is one case you should not discard the rubber geponents.
10. Instruction book; You can view/print the instruction book for Surge milkers. Add value to your listing by printing off this instruction manual and including it with your Surge Milker or add the link to your listing so your buyer can read the instruction book. You have my permission to reprint the manual for your Surge milker sale. You will have to email or call us to get the adress. okay will not allow me to post the link here.
Learn more about surge milkersat the Surge Milker history page. surge milker (dot ) ge You can use some of the text from the history site, so your customers can also learn more about what you are selling.

PayPal Payment Status Pending With No Cancel Button

GOTO

If youve made a PayPal payment and your My okay shows the payment status as Pending, log into your PayPal account to see what the PayPal status is.If the PayPal status is Unclaimed and there is not a Cancel button next to the transaction on the Overview page, then the payment needs to be manually claimed by the seller. This might be because the seller is new and has to claim their first payment, or because youve sent them a payment using your debit/credit card and they either have to manually accept the payment, or need to upgrade their PayPal account to accept it.Note that a seller offering PayPal on their auctions and displaying the PayPal and card logos cannot refuse to accept, or upgrade their account to accept, your debit/credit card payment. You will also receive a Payment Notification email that looks similar to this:The payment will be sitting in the sellers PayPal account with two buttons next to it Accept / Refuse waiting for the seller to take action. If the seller claims the payment, your payment is gepleted and you dont need to do anything else.Even when transaction is unclaimed, it will not stop the funds being collected from your bank account (if funded by instant bank transfer or eCheck) or from your credit/debit card (if card funded). If the seller fails to claim the payment, the money will be returned to you after 30 days. If you funded the transaction by credit/debit card, the funds will be returned to the card (can take up to 30 days, but usually about 7). If you funded by any other source, the funds will be returned to your PayPal balance.Note that you cannot file a PayPal dispute against an Unclaimed payment to get your money back. If the seller wont click either the Accept or Refuse buttons in their PayPal account then you will have to wait the 30 days to get your money back.

Apidexin

I thought Id give this product a go, and for the first few days, I felt nauseous and listless. After five days of taking the prescribed dose, I even experienced vomiting. However, I did experience noticeable weight loss, but at the expense of feeling lousy and off my food. I also experenced loss of sleep, although I id find I could concentrate on work better.
Thats the bad news. The good news is that if you persevere with this product, your body does adjust, and after a couple of weeks you return to normal except that the weight just falls off you. There is a pain barrier though, and for me, getting to this stage was not particularly pleasant, but no pain, no gain. Makes me wish Id spent the money on some running shoes instead though.

John Sandford Prey Series Book List

This guide will briefly introduce you to the "Prey" series written by John Sandford and then provide you with the titles in the order they were published.
John Sandford is the pen name of a Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist who turned to writing fiction. These are crime thrillers featuring Lucas Davenport, a not-ver-by-the-book police detective. He has a girlfriend who is a TV reporter and she is the mother of his daughter. Lucas sleeps around, so relationship difficulties do work into the storylines. The books are strong on plot and the characterizations take back seat. However, I have just finished the third book and am feeling like I am getting to know Lucas Davenport pretty well and he is an interesting and appealing character. The setting is mostly around the Twin Cities in Minnesota. The first book was written in 1989, so if you a are a forensics/techie junkie, you have to take into account they were appropriate for the time. Fast-paced, good detective fiction. I hope you check them out.

MAXIMIZE SALES ALLIGNING AUCTION SALES WITH s PEAK

One of the areas I had not had a lot of time to research until now (and be sure of my findings), was whether or not there really IS an absolutely best time (or spread of times) when it makes sense to concentrate you sales activity.
Before I begin though, I need to remind you that, if you have a store, keeping auctions running daily keeps customers finding and visiting your store so you always need a mix of both store entries and auctions running to maximize traffic to your sales.
Just as everyday life in America (and on earth) has a predictable pattern of waking and sleeping, outdoor activity in great weather and cocooningin poor weather, okay has times during each day, week, month and yearthat are busier with more buyer traffic or less. Peak activity on okay runs in both daily and weekly cycles, following a very predictable pattern (linked to living life within each time zone) around the web. However, too much can be too geplex to deal with as a seller. So, in general, okay traffic follows two simple patterns:
1. Shoppers peak US activity on okay is between 8:00 PM eastern time and 10:00 PM pacific time across all time zones (a spread of 8 hours, through 5 time zones). So, it follows that, to maximize bidding activity for your sales they should be launched between those hours so that they will close during those hours 3, 5, 7 or 10 days later (a huge window!) This provides the widest audience of okay shoppers possible within the US. If you sell worldwide, the audience increases according to synchronization of hours in other areas of the world (or with every visit of a foreign night owl or two).
2. On a weekly basis, peak operation time for okay is on Sunday evening. If you must choose one day a week to launch your listings, Sunday evening, between 8:00 PM eastern time and 10:00 PM pacific time is the right time to do it. Listing 5-10 auctions or more every Sunday evening is a convenient way to time your auctions well, without having to think about it too much.
Using these simple rules, will help you corral the largest possible shopping audience and maximize the bids you get on an ongoing basis. List 7-day or 10-day auctions whenever possible (longer ad exposure may result in more watchers and bidderswhich, in turn leads to the higher selling price you are looking for). If you can only handle auctions one day a week...have them begin and end on Sunday evenings.
Choosing smart windows of time to upload (and end) your auctions will make a significant difference, especially when gepared to auctions ending during the day on weekday, or the wee hours of the morning, when most of the people who were watching your listings closely are likely to still be in dreamland and not at the PC.
Hope this helps you maximize sales. If you have time, pleasedrop by my auctions (pepper120851) or my store "The Write Place Ladies Clothing" for some of the biggest bargains on the web today and where YOU name the price you pay -- EVERYDAY! While there check out my "satisfaction guaranteed" policy!
Thanks for stopping by!!! Pepper

Coobie sport bra reveiw

I just got 3 of these sport bras. They look good on but the size does run small. I would suggest ordering a cup larger than you normally wear. Also the fabric isn't the strongest, so if you are larger chested these would not be a good choice for sports or anything you might need good support doing. I bought these to wear under tank tops and sleeveless shirts at work, they work fine, and look okay if they show a little through the side of the shirts, but I would NEVER wear them to exercise or run in because of the lack of support.

FEEDBACK! - A Business Tool or A Thieve's Baseball Bat?

Please allow me to first say that I will make every effort to be fair minded to all sides of this issue. As a retired business person, I can state without any reservation, that everydispute has at least two sides, and that no customer or retailer is ever 100%right or wrong all of the time. This is one of the reasons why okay started the feedback program. But, it seems that the old saying about "absolute power corrupting absolutely" certainly has reared it's ugly head when it gees to "Feedback", and how some people use it, as well as other "Online Operating Guidelines and Practices".
In every transaction, both sellerand customer, have a moral obligation to make every effort to "do the right thing" with regards to the transaction. This includes honesty in the listing, prompt payment by the purchaser, speedy shipment of the items purchased, followedup with mature, honest feedback by both parties, after the transactionhas beengepleted. I know, "In a Perfect World . . ."! BUT, if any system is to have a chance to work in the manner within which it was conceived, a mutual bond of trust must be established. This trust must be backed up by Prompt, Ethical, attention to the needs and problems of both buyers and sellers, by the onlypeoplewith the power to do so, by okay!
For far too long now, manydishonest buyers and unscrupulous sellers have been allowed to run wild on okay. Both sides have learned how to sneak in and out ofthe "gray" areas of businesspolicy, and okay has been far too slow and reluctant to do anything about it! Consequently, many areas of okay have truly begee a "Thieves Paradise". Everyday, okaycharges afee on every new listing,a percentage gemission on every sale, and if that sale is paid forthrough "PayPal" (another okay gepany), they charge a percentage of that amount too, including shipping and handling! Can you just imagine how many millions of items areimpacted daily????? THIS IS BIG BUSINESS and it is high time that okay took this bull by the horns and delivered "real service to its customers, both buyers and sellers"! Crooked buyers have learned that uninsured packages, or those received without "Delivery Confirmation" can be challenged. Likewise, a crooked seller can never shipa purchaseand say "you didn't buy insurance so it's your problem. . ." THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT BOTH ARE WRONG! Currently, there is only one logical solution to this problem, "DELIVERY CONFIRMATION"! If you are a buyer and have aproblem with paying this charge, or a seller who thinks that this is too much trouble to deal with, GO DO BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE!This is the only tool currently available that mutually protects bothbuyers and sellers. It should be mandated as okay policy. Ifaseller takes advantage of available USPS (others too) programs that allow sellers to printtheir ownpostage and shipping labels, Delivery Confirmation, as a "Free Perk"is abyproduct! This could then be passed on to the buyer - FOR FREE - as a positive selling tool. This, along with a serious PROAVTIVEposition on the part of okay, would eliminatethisbroad avenue of online fraud. Delivery Confirmation would then make "lost packages" a problem of the shipping agency (USPS, UPS, FedEX, etc.). As a followup, okay should then block any attempt at negative feedback on any lost or uninsured transaction. Thisis not intended to give any advantage to the seller. Sellers control the terms ofthe sale. If a seller does not PROTECT HIMSELF by requiring insurance on a transaction, and it legitimately gets lost,HE OWES THE CUSTOMER A REFUND! ANYONE WHO BUYS ON LINE, AND CAN PROVE THAT THEY MADE PAYMENT (cancelled check, PayPal record), has every right to receive their product or a full refund, including shipping charges. This refund should take place within a standardized time frame set forth by and enforced by okay. It would solely be the responsibility any buyer who has made direct payment by check, or money order to apply for a refund of any lost funds from the issuing party of said payment.Likewise, it should always be the responsibility of the SELLER to deal with their chosen shipper in matters of lost items. They shipped it, and they bought the insurance! The insurance refundwill bepaid to them, therefore, there is no reason for a customer to wait for a full refund. This is why it is so important for sellers to be good business persons.
There are other problems on okay! Assuming that the afore mentioned "lost package" problem was dealt with, there is still what I consider the WORST AND BIGGEST PROBLEM, counterfeit, fake, and otherwise MISREPRESENTEDMERCHANDISE being offeredfor sale or auction as genuine. ANYONE SELLING FAKE OR COUNTERFEIT MERCHANDISED AS GENUINE or DISPLAYING A REPEATED HISTORY OF CONSTISTANTLY OVERGRADING OR MISREPRESENTING THE QUALITY, GRADE, OR VALUEOF ITEMS BEING OFFERED should be permanently suspended from all okay participation. Just as in any court of law, this type of activity clearly constitutes "A CONSCIOUS ATTEMPT TO DEFRAUD". okayshould act swiftly and decisively to protect all buyers, and the integrity of it's sales platform from all such persons. As any seller can also be defrauded, these allegations must first be proven. Ifa seller refuses to issuea refund for a suspected non-genuineitem(s), it would then begee the responsibility of the buyer,as the injured party, to obtain verifiable documentation of authenticity froma reputable, certified third party expert (manufacturer of said product, or as in collectibles such as coins ANACS, PCGS, NGC, or their assigned agent). If the item(s) in question prove to be not genuine, the seller should then make afull refund of all payments including said certification charges, in the case of an isolated incident. Multiple confirmed incidents ofnon-genuine items being offered as genuine, should result in permanent suspension of that seller.AllCONFIRMED CASES of sellers offering non-genuine items as genuine should begee a permanent part ofthat seller's history, irregardless of how the matterwas eventually resolved. This process should extend to ALL areas of okay sales. Counterfeit jewelery, watches, coins, CDs/DVDs, clothing items, and collectibles of all kinds should be covered by this umbrella!okay couldthen use this as amonitor of a seller's ability to be a responsible okayer, or as documentation for possible dismissal. Just like that old line from "The Godfather". . ."It's justbusiness, not personal!"
Over the past years, okay's reluctance to follow-up with internal investigations of sellers who repeatedly break the rules of good business practices, has resulted in "Feedback"begeming more of "CROOK'S BASEBALL BAT" than a business tool, for both buyers and sellers.Quite often, new buyers,(easily identifiedby only having 1-30 feedback) have been allowed to damage a seller's reputation by leaving immature and unrealistic feedback. A few recent examples:1) OK Coin. Arrived on Time. - NEGATIVE FEEDBACK LEFT - Buyer had feedback score of 3. 2)Charged $4.00 Shipping, PostMark said $2.05. - NEGATIVE FEEDBACK LEFT - Buyer feedback score 27. 3) Paid By PayPal. Took 9 days to arrive. - NEGATIVE FEEDBACK LEFT - Buyer has feedback score of 12! Lets face it, if a bidder doesn't know how to issue feedback, okay should have questioned and/or reversed these feedbacks! If a seller reports this stuff to okay, it almost never gets removed. Consequently, many sellers use negative feedback in retaliation. I propose that ALL FEEDBACK ISSUED BY NEWokayERS(1-50) BE PROBATIONARY AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
There are many dealers of collectibles (Coins, stamps, baseball cards), who routinely andintentionally overgrade or otherwise misrepresent many, and in some cases all,of the items they offer, by using "sham" or totally unaccredited "So-Called Certification Services". These services aren't insured or bonded, and for the most part, can't be contacted! Their Certification is WORTHLESS, and their opinions of grade are almost always several grades too high!In most cases, these services have direct ties toaseller or several sellers using their services. In any business, such a practice isa conflict of interest and morally corrupt! I truly believethat mostpeople are basically honest. In collectibles, like coins or stamps, many bidders arenew to okay, often either young or very old. They see offerings in what appears to be "legitimate" certified holders, and bid accordingly. When the items arrive, they find out that they were cheated. Their emails usually go unanswered, or they are told that there is no refund. If they give Negative Feedback, they receive the same. Out of frustration, many never buy again, or never report the crime! This is nothing less than FINANCIAL BLACKMAIL, and by doing nothing about it, it can only be assumed that okay condones it. To most people, it looks like okay is more interested in the listing fees, sales gemissions, and PayPal percentages that they collect from these crooks, than the safety and welfare of their honest customers!Only okay can fix these problems.
Anybody looked at the value of okay stock lately?
